Inspiration Playground at Bellevue’s Downtown Park
Rob and Marilyn are inspired by the possibilities for providing an exciting and unique experience for disabled children from around our state. The McKennas are co-chairing the capital campaign for Inspiration Playground, providing kids of all abilities a unique place to learn and have fun in Bellevue’s Downtown Park. Organized by Bellevue Rotary in cooperation with the City of Bellevue, Inspiration Playground will be a great draw for children with disabilities and their families to have fun in a safe, stimulating environment where they can get out and play. Chief Seattle Council, Boy Scouts of America
For more than a century, Scouting has given a tremendous amount to our communities and our country, as well as to every boy and girl who has been part of the Scouting movement. Through Scouting, Rob learned practical skills, built enduring friendships, became a lifelong conservationist, and acquired leadership abilities — just like millions of others who devote themselves to community leadership and strengthening our country. A Distinguished Eagle Scout, Rob has remained involved in Scouting as a longtime board member with the Chief Seattle Council and, more recently, in his new position as board Executive Vice President. Through fundraising and advocacy, he is working to ensure Scouting remains a healthy and viable organization for new generations of boys and girls (in BSA Explorer Posts and Venture Crews) to become our nation’s leaders.
